Handling and Temperament
Generally calm and slow-moving. Should be handled gently and infrequently. Not venomous, but capable of spraying a mild defensive chemical from thoracic glands when threatened. This spray can irritate eyes or skin and has a strong smell.
Origin:
Northern Peru, South America — a very limited and localized natural range.
